Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor reportedly died Tuesday morning from injuries suffered in a shooting incident.
Various sources, including CNN and ESPN, cited a family member as saying Taylor died one day after being shot in the leg after an alleged home invasion.
Taylor was reportedly shot and wounded by an intruder. Miami-Dade patrol officers received a call about 1:45 a.m. (et) Monday that a homeowner had been shot in the leg. Paramedics responded and found Taylor with a gunshot wound to the groin.
Taylor was flown to the Ryder Trauma Center of Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he underwent surgery.
More will be released later on the tragic death of a future Pro Bowler in Washington Redskins’ own, Sean Taylor.
